Dr. Qing Gong Yang possesses nearly three decades of extensive experience in economic research and advisory roles across academic, governmental, and private sectors spanning various countries including New Zealand, the United Kingdom, China, and numerous others across Asia, the Pacific Islands, and the Caribbean.
His Areas of Expertise: Applied econometrics, and Micro-simulation, Applied Industrial Organization and Industrial Economics, Competition and Regulatory Economics, Consumer and Household Behaviour, Economic Growth and Economic Development, Efficiency and Productivity Analysis, Energy Economics, Management Practice, R&D, and Innovation, and Business Performance, M&E and Program Evaluation, Statistics and Quantitative Methods.
Dr. Yang's professional journey began as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Business Research (CBR) at Cambridge University, UK, before transitioning to work in the New Zealand economic landscape in 2005. He also holds the designation of Certified Senior Statistician, having served in a provincial Bureau of Statistics in China.
